Susan Moldenhauer has been creating poetic, lyrical, and personal photographic images in the landscape or indoor settings since 1981. The landscape of the American West has dominated her work since 1988. In 2010, Moldenhauer, artist Wendy Bredehoft and dancer Margaret Wilson created Sequencing, a collaborative partnership that explores the creative process. She is a founding member of Pipeline Artists Project, established with 4 other Wyoming artists to advance the visibility of their work beyond Wyoming. In 2004, Moldenhauer and Bredehoft co-founded Touchstone Laramie, a bi-annual weekend exhibition by Laramie artists to raise awareness about the arts in Albany County. Moldenhauer has been the Director and Chief Curator of the University of Wyoming Art Museum since 2002. She received her MFA in photography from Penn State University in 1982. She has had numerous solo and group exhibitions in the U.S. and is represented in public and private collections. Moldenhauer lives and works in Laramie, WY.
