Silhouette Of Feathers

By Bobbi Sinha-Morey

The earth goes to sleep
and smiles in her dreams;
if you listen you can hear
it call when it’s moved
from sunlight buried in
its wisdom. In the feathery
silhouette of the night
a lady blackbird flirts with
the crow in their sonata
of beating wings.
