A November Day by Treva Lannan

The early morning

so still,

I sit immobile

almost holding my breath

feeling the quiet,

light is beginning

pale blue through

the bare trees

it snowed last night

leaving the ground

pristine white,

the house is silent

broken only

by the clock chimes.
