Julianne Couch

Julianne Couch’s unconventional life is shaped by a reckless urge to follow her heart. That’s what took her to Laramie, Wyoming back in 1992 and what careened her eastward to a tiny town on the Mississippi River in Iowa in summer 2011. In between she spent 13 years as a writing teacher at the University of Wyoming. She still teaches there, but from a distance. She’s the author of Jukeboxes & Jackalopes: A Wyoming Bar Journey (Pronghorn Press) as well as its photographic companion (Wyoming State Historical Society). Her latest adventure Traveling the Power Line: An Electrical Memoir is forthcoming.
